Women are breaking through the stained glass ceiling. Hundreds of delegates cheered when Northeast Ohio Evangelical Lutherans selected their first female bishop. Yet some churches refuse to ordain women, while others simply won't hire female ministers. This week, the local Catholic Diocese announced it would cluster churches because of shortages in the all-male priesthood.
