FutureChurch would like your perspectives on the question, “What Should the Church's Lenten Resolution Be?”
Join us for an evening of conversation, refreshments, and fun as we ponder what the Catholic Church should do for Lent (Remember, we constitute the Catholic Church, as well as our institutional leaders!). What should our prayer be? Are we in need of repentance? Should we and our institutional leaders fast from certain behaviors? Are we called to new behaviors? From what should we abstain? To what good works of charity and systemic justice are we called?
A panel of Catholics will give their perspectives and then the microphone will be available to the general audience.
The event will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sweetwater Landing overlooking the Emerald Necklace Marina and the Rocky River. Snacks, cold drinks, coffee and tea will be provided along with a cash bar of beer and wine. There is no charge for the event, but a free will offering will be accepted. Sweetwater Landing is located at 1500 Scenic Park Drive, Lakewood, Ohio 44107. For directions go to sweetwaterlanding.com.
